Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting is committed to the objectives and purposes of the Government Auditing Standards (Yellow Book) and its value to government auditing and evaluations. Partner Kurt Sjoberg served for four years on the Comptroller General’s Advisory Council on Government Auditing Standards, chairing the Performance Audit Sub-Committee. He and partner Marianne Evashenk also served for seven years on the National State Auditor’s Association Audit Standards and Peer Review Committees and were instrumental in developing its comprehensive peer review manual. Under their leadership, the California State Auditor’s Office achieved unqualified opinions on all five peer reviews conducted during their tenures.

Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting embraces and fully complies with the Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. We are proud of our long history of delivering high-quality work products and can boast that we receive the highest marks and praise from our clients. Our staff are highly trained and competent, and we diligently ensure we meet all Yellow Book requirements relating to the conduct of our audit work, including provisions regarding continuing professional education for each staff member. We have undergone an External Quality Review (Peer Review) every three years since the firm’s formation and on each we have achieved unqualified opinions with no Management Letter comments. Our most recent review was issued in January 2015 for the previous three calendar year period.
