As a matter of perspective, no other firm in the nation is more committed to the objectives and purposes of the Yellow Book and its value to government auditing and evaluations than Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting. Partner Kurt Sjoberg served for four years on the Comptroller General’s Advisory Council on Government Auditing Standards, where he chaired the Performance Audit Sub-Committee. He and partner Marianne Evashenk also served for seven years on the National State Auditor’s Association Quality Control Committee and helped develop the comprehensive review manual it uses. Finally, California’s Bureau of State Audits and Auditor General’s Office, which they led for two decades, received unqualified opinions on all five peer reviews conducted during their tenure.

Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting fully meets the Government Auditing Standards issued by the Comptroller General of the United States. We are proud that we have no history of substandard work and we can boast that we receive the highest marks and praise from our clients. Our staff are highly qualified and competent, and we comply with all “Yellow Book” standards including requirements of continuing professional education. Since our firm was formed in January 2000, an independent certified public accountant has completed two External Quality Reviews, “Peer Review” on our firm as of December 31, 2002, and December 31, 2005, and issued unqualified opinion with no management letter items for both reviews.
