Long Beach Woman, Infants, and Children Supplemental Nutrition Program

The Office of the City Auditor for Long Beach engaged Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting, Inc. to conduct a review of the City’s Women, Infant, and Children (WIC) program. Our site reviews found that policies and procedures are generally understood and followed at the four field offices visited; however, one area of weakness in compliance existed with eligibility rules and regulations that relate to documentation and evidence of the required hemoglobin/hematocrit tests
