As the Snohomish County Performance Auditor, Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting recently presented its performance audit of the County’s Human Resources Department. Our report found that Department activities were not always consistent with industry standards, it did not maintain an up-to-date compensation and classification plan, its record retention system failed to ensure personnel files were complete, and it did not provide adequate oversight or guidance for decentralized human resources activities.
