The San Francisco City Services Auditor Division contracted with Sjoberg Evashenk Consulting to audit the lease agreement under which Impark Parking LLC (Impark) operates the Sutter Stockton Parking Garage and oversight of the lease by the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA). The audit found, in general, that Impark appropriately performed most parking garage activities in accordance with the lease; however, we identified areas that warrant improvement, such as that Impark should no longer invoice for valet tickets, which is inefficient. SFMTA ensured Impark appropriately performed parking garage activities to ensure satisfactory operational and financial performance at the garage. However, SFMTA can improve its oversight of garage operations and better monitor compliance with the lease.
